Synergy's "Cloud Business Communication Market Share Report Worldwide 2Q 2015" showed that nearly one out of four new cloud communications users chooses Mitel.
In addition, Mitel controlled 24 percent of subscriber seat numbers in the cloud business communication market in the second quarter.
More than 1.6 million users currently leverage Mitel's cloud communications services, and the unified communications-as-a-service (UCaaS) solutions provider could capitalize on a rapidly expanding cloud communications market going forward.
"With Mitel's large installed base of private cloud telephony users and its growing UCaaS subscriber base, we see again Mitel as a standout leader in cloud business communications," Synergy founder Jeremy Duke said in a prepared statement. "[Mitel continues] to capitalize on the growing market acceptance of UC cloud deployments for both public and private clouds."
Mitel recently has expanded its cloud communications portfolio as well.
For example, Mitel completed its acquisition of converged IP communications provider Mavenir Systems in April.
Mitel noted that the Mavenir acquisition could help the company expand its total addressable market by approximately $14 billion by 2018.
