Verizon Enterprise Solutions has expanded the list of public cloud services it supports on its Secure Cloud Interconnection direct connection service, which already offers its customers a direct connection to Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and its own Verizon Cloud offering.

Now, the list has expanded by two more. The Verizon Secure Cloud Interconnection service now includes connections to the HP Helion Managed Cloud Service and the Salesforce Customer Success Platform clouds. If you're keeping count, that means the interconnection service now connects to six different clouds, and according to Verizon, that enables its enterprise customers to rapidly scale and use multiple cloud services through a pay-as-you-go model.

"HP and Salesforce customers will find that SCI delivers an unmatched combination of security, resiliency, application performance, simplicity and efficiency while enabling a wide range of applications and use cases, making it a great fit for enterprises with discriminating requirements."

With the addition of HP and Salesforce, Verizon will now offer:

  • Pre-integrated wireless and IP data networking capabilities to the HP Helion Managed Cloud Service to aid enterprises in deploying highly-secure, reliable and scalable connections to HP cloud services. It provides a multi-redundant offering that is intended to help enterprises build, manage and consume cloud services.
  • Direct connections to the Salesforce Customer Success Platform, providing enterprises with the reliability, speed and performance on the Secure Cloud Interconnect service when using Salesforce.
