As I hope TalkinCloud readers know, last week our sister site MSPmentor released the 2012 edition of the MSPmentor 100 Top Managed Service Providers. And leave it to Intermedia, the hosted messaging and collaboration service provider that often brags about its channel-friendliness, to offer up its involvement with the announcement that a solid 36 of that 100 (just over a third, for the math-challenged) are Intermedia Private Label Partners.

Intermedia President Michael Gold took to a press release to do some bragging:

"We are excited and proud of each one of our private label partners who were named to the MSPmentor 100 list. It is a huge accomplishment and recognition of the service these companies provide their customers. MSPs who are thriving in the cloud services industry are choosing Intermedia to power their back-end. We will continue to be their partner to help them grow their cloud business."

Of course, Intermedia also pats itself on the back for providing its partners with 24/7 support, five-nines SLA and a partner portal for managing the entire range of Intermedia cloud services.

To me, this just speaks to a larger trend: There's the MSPmentor 100, and we just started with the Talkin' Cloud 50 this year. But savvy channel pros are learning quickly that the line between cloud services and managed services are getting increasingly blurry. In the end, it's about end-customer value, and apparently, MSPs and CSPs alike are finding a worthwhile partner in Intermedia.
