Evolven jumped into the deal to take advantage of the OpSource Partner Ecosystem -- a group of integrators, developers, ISVs, development platform companies and MSPs that offer integrated solutions to SMBs and the enterprise. Evolven will be able to sell its cloud configuration analytics software through the OpSource Ecosystem and reach a greater audience. Evolven customers will now also have access to OpSource's cloud platform, meaning they'll get integration, marketing, engineering and sales support from OpSource. The ultimate goal for Evolven is to give its customers a faster and easier way to gain insights into their (or their customers') virtual environments and ultimately prevent downtime. The OpSource-powered Evolven cloud solution is already available for purchase on Evolven's website through a monthly or annual subscription.
This is the first partnership agreement we've heard involving OpSource since June 2011, when the enterprise cloud company partnered with Standing Cloud to ease deployment and management of cloud applications. It's also the first news we've heard from OpSource since the company was acquired by Dimension Data back in July 2011.
