CumuLogic, one of several still-in-beta entrants into the growing PaaS market, is honing its market edge with the announcement that it's now fully certified with the entire range of Citrix cloud solutions, including CloudStack and Citrix XenServer, under the Citrix Ready program.

Citrix Ready is a program designed to assure service providers and other IT pros that any given solution definitely will work with its ecosystem. Since it's guaranteed to be deployable in a XenServer instance or on a CloudStack IaaS platform, it can speed up time-to-market.

“The cloud is a very noisy space, and by becoming Citrix Ready, customers and users can quickly and easily find partner products and solutions that are trusted to enhance Citrix offerings. We have more the 21,000 products included in the Citrix Ready catalog and are pleased to add one of our first PaaS technology offerings with CumuLogic," Citrix VP of Community and Alliance Marketing Joe Keller said in a prepared statement.

As a side note to the Citrix announcement, CumuLogic also announced support for JBoss 7 and GlassFish application servers, with the promise of Jetty coming soon. Oh, and it already supports OpenStack clouds.

It seems that flexibility may be a key driver when it comes time for cloud ISVs to choose PaaS solution. And by joining the Citrix ecosystem, CumuLogic may have opened its doors to a whole new audience.
