Unified communications as a service (UCaaS) platform provider Thinking Phone Networks has received a $10 million follow-on investment that the company said will be used for continued expansion of international operations, growing global sales and support activities, and funding continued development of key mobility-enabled enterprise communications applications.

Existing investors Bessemer Venture Partners and Advanced Technology Ventures led the series C funding round.

Thinking Phone Networks President and CEO Steven Kokinos said in a prepared statement that this investment will help with the company's growth to meet increasing demand.

"Cloud communications adoption has become mainstream, with thousands of midsized and larger enterprises already benefitting from the significant business process improvements and cost savings that cloud deployment brings," he said. "We believe we are in a very good position to capitalize on the move to cloud UC."

The Thinking Phone Networks platform provides a multi-tenant cloud software with ready integration of business applications such as CRM and ER that aims to addresses the multi-faceted needs of service providers, PBX vendors, and channel partners.
