Analytics software developer New Relic has joined the Google (GOOG) Cloud Platform Partner Program for Google Compute Engine, an infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) platform that allows large-scale computing workloads on Linux virtual machines hosted on Google's infrastructure.

With the addition of New Relic's service, Google Cloud Platform customers can leverage the analytics software company's application performance visibility to assist with the monitoring, troubleshooting and optimizing their applications.

New Relic Business Development Vice President Bill Lapcevic said in his prepared statement that both companies will continue to commit to building accessible and reliable products.

"Together, the Google Cloud Platform and New Relic are helping organizations shift their focus away from worrying about the health of their infrastructure and instead toward building better applications," Lapcevic said.

Google has extended its Google Cloud Platform Starter Pack to existing New Relic customers, which includes:

  • A $2,000 credit, for both Google App Engine and Google Compute Engine.
  • To apply, New Relic customers can visit the Google Cloud website and enter promo code: nrc-org.

New Relic noted that Google will be taking stage as a premiere sponsor of FutureStack13, New Relic's first-ever technology conference.

New Relic offers a range of tools for various platforms including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft (MSFT) Azure.
