Cloud Cruiser 16 allows users to monitor multiple cloud environments at once to streamline usage and eliminate waste.
Cloud Cruiser is looking to take the guesswork out of monitoring multi-cloud environments with the launch of Cloud Cruiser 16, a Software as a Service (SaaS) application capable of measuring cloud usage by individual users.
Available immediately, Cloud Cruiser 16 is being aimed squarely at enterprise users who have multiple cloud deployments, but no official way to monitor usage between them, according to the company. Cloud Cruiser Vice President of Products Fraser McKay said Cloud Cruiser 16 provides users with a dedicated app to measure and manage cloud consumption at a granular level, thus creating a more accurate way to cut back on cloud usage waste.
“Users see reports light up in real-time, which drives fast business decisions," said McKay in a statement. “It’s all about agility, ease-of-use and greater control to stay competitive.”
Cloud Cruiser highlighted a number of new features in the latest version of its software, including the ability to place data from multiple clouds in a single panel, so that usage data, rates and tags can be viewed simultaneously. The solution also features built-in SmartTag technology that automatically corrects and assigns tags to cloud data based on previous entries. Finally, the system’s Instant Insights feature acts as a recommendation engine to suggest ways to maximize deployments and avoid waste, according to the announcement.
“Cloud Cruiser 16 provides immediate time-to-value with powerful, easy-to-use reporting all designed for self-service,” said Deirdre Mahon, chief marketing officer at Cloud Cruiser. “At the end of the day, it’s really all about putting the right information into the hands of subscribers and those making critical decisions about which services to invest in.”
