When a cloud opportunity for MSPs knocks, channel veteran Jim Lippie's consulting company opens the door. Clarity Channel Advisors on Monday announced its Clarity Channel Advisory Group (CCAG) designed to assist MSPs with transitioning to a cloud-focused strategy.

According to the company, the purpose of its new advisory group is to guide its members on a path to "increasing recurring revenue, reducing operating costs and improving profit margins." The CCAG plans to accomplish these goals by bringing its members together in what it calls a "simple but effective advisory group format."

The way it works is members are placed into a group with 11 other MSPs from different North American geographies. Each group is then assigned a "Clarity Advisor" who will conduct weekly "Transformation Calls." The purpose of these calls is to provide MSPs with the knowledge, skills and abilities need to survive in the market going forward.

In addition to weekly conference calls, CCAG will hold a monthly sales webinar presented by John Barrows. Barrows trains well-known SaaS providers (such as Salesforce.com, Linkedin, Dropbox and Box) in sales.

Another component of CCAG is its Clarity Intelligence Platform (CIP), which was developed to enables service providers to aggregate their client’s important business metrics for presentation in dashboard format. Every CCAG member has access to CIP.

Channel organizations such as OpenDNS and IndependenceIT have signed on to become Platinum sponsors of the CCAG, with others expected to join in the coming weeks.

The CCAG is accepting pre-registration from service providers for sessions starting April 6. For more information on the advisory group, please go here.
