SAP (SAP) is looking to provide deep insights into consumer preferences to its customers through a new cloud-based analytics service called  SAP Consumer Insight 365 Mobile Service. We'll reveal the scoop.

SAP Consumer Insight 365 Mobile is designed to help organizations leverage analytic insights from aggregated, anonymized consumer data. These insights can then be used to create more targeted and context-specific marketing efforts to strengthen relationships with consumers. SAP said that large amounts of consumer data is now available, collected through consumer interactions with mobile devices. SAP Consumer Insight 365 Mobile is designed to analyze that data that is collected from operator networks. The company said that the data gathered will not be user-specific.

“By working with major mobile operators worldwide and by gathering input from a number of the world’s leading companies within the media, research and analytics sectors, we intend to provide our enterprise customers with a rich, reliable consumer insight analytics service,” said SAP Mobile Services President John Sims in a prepared statement.

The offering will be powered by the SAP HANA platform, a move that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who has been following our Sapphire Now coverage.

SAP co-CEO Bill McDermott said on day one of the company's recent user event that the SAP HANA platform will the "platform of every single thing the company will do going forward."

Sims added that SAP HANA makes it possible for companies to acquire mobile consumer intelligence through company's new cloud-based analytics solution.
