Intronis has announced the Winter Release '15 of its Intronis ECHOplatform data protection platform. The BDR solutions provider said its new release is designed to help channel partners better support more complex cloud, virtualized and physical IT environments. Here are the details.

The Chelmsford, Massachusetts-based cloud backup and disaster recovery (BDR) solutions provider said its new release is designed to help channel partners better support more complex cloud, virtualized and physical IT environments.
"Through Intronis Winter Release '15, our channel partners will benefit from greater flexibility in how and what they recover," Neal Bradbury, Intronis' vice president of channel development, told Talkin' Cloud.
The Intronis ECHOplatform can now "simplify the backup and recovery process ... and ensure no small and medium-sized business (SMB) fails due to data loss," Bradbury said.
Additionally, the platform's new business-building features and core functionalities, Bradbury noted, could help Intronis' channel partners boost their profits and attract new customers.
The Intronis ECHOplatform's new features include:
- Hyper-V Rapid Recovery: Enables channel partners to support hybrid IT environments by offering Hyper-V environment recovery from local image-based storage in as fast as 30 seconds.
- Imaging Rapid Recovery: Supports rapid recovery for physical server environments from local image-based storage.
- Object-Level Restore: Allows channel partners to retrieve specific files, folders and databases from physical and virtual local image-based backups.
- VMware 6.0 Ready: Ensures channel partners will be able to provide native backup for the upcoming release of the VMware 6.0 hypervisor platform.
Intronis also pointed out that the Intronis ECHOplatform is built exclusively for channel partners and sells for a fixed monthly cost.
Bradbury said more than 40 Intronis partners were actively involved in the beta testing of Intronis Winter Release '15.
Intronis is committed to the channel as well, Bradbury said, and will continue to expand its relationships with its existing partners and recruit new partners.
