Carbonite Partners excel at helping their clients be their best. Here are a couple of quick stories about two Carbonite Partners who are having a positive impact on the communities they serve.
When Computer Troubleshooters, a Carbonite Partner, began working with The Boys & Girls Club of Fitchburg and Leominster, Mass., the company quickly realized that the club had a lot of older technology in need of upgrades. And during the upgrade process, it became clear that the club was also in need of a high-quality backup system.
That's when Computer Troubleshooters and The Boys & Girls Club decided to install a hybrid backup and disaster recovery solution from Carbonite.
“Carbonite allowed for us to back up four servers, and we were able to make sure all the data was being protected,” said Tony Fields, Computer Troubleshooters’ owner. “We know that as we’re growing, Carbonite is there to grow along with us.”
Thanks to Computer Troubleshooters, The Boys & Girls Club doesn’t have to worry much about its technology infrastructure. Instead, the staff is free to spend most of its time doing what it does best: helping children develop the skills needed to become healthy, well-adjusted and productive adults.
“I work on fundraisers, grant writing, and I send out letters requesting donations from donors,” said Patty Fields, Resource Development Director with The Boys & Girls Club of Fitchburg & Leominster. “I’m thoroughly confident that whatever I’m working on and whatever I’m saving to the server, I know it’s going to be there for me. I know that Computer Troubleshooters is making sure we have the right software in place to do that.”

Data Doctors Uses Carbonite to Recover Healthcare Data
When Ken Colburn founded Data Doctors back in 1988, he wanted to build a company that would solve the technological problems of both consumers and small businesses, but without all of the “geek speak.”
Colburn’s dream came true and then some. Today, there are Data Doctors franchises all over the United States, and Colburn continues to work out of the company’s headquarters in Tempe, Ariz.
Data Doctors is serious about making sure its customers’ digital photos, documents and business files are securely, reliably and automatically backed up. That’s why Data Doctors is a Carbonite Partner.
One of Data Doctors’ clients is a managed healthcare facility that specializes in assisted living. A while back, one of the managers of the healthcare facility experienced a “devastating” hard drive crash on her primary laptop. Understandably, she became very distressed and feared she would lose critical information that the business runs on.
“She completely forgot about the fact that we had everything backed up with Carbonite,” Colburn said. “We put a new hard drive in her machine and then used Carbonite to do a full restoration of her critical data. She was so happy that she hugged the technician.”
Jessica Couto is Vice President of U.S. Channel Sales & Marketing at Carbonite, a provider of cloud and hybrid backup and disaster recovery solutions for small to midsize businesses.
